    2. daughter Emma Miller b. abt. 1855 Vandalia, Fayette Co., IL d. 1902, buried Blue Mound Cemetery, Howell Co., MO (as Emma Wright) married Jesse Bray b. 1850 White Co., TN, on 29 Oct. 1874 (see IL Archives on line marriage index) in Fayette Co., IL [ She is buried as Emma Wright in Blue Mound Cemetery, near West Plains, Howell Co., MO.

We have various birthdates for her, census and family say 1855-57, tombstone apparently says 1842. Everything else indicates birthdate about 1855 and that this is the same person. However, I have no absolute proof that Emma is the child of John Miller and Amelia Hart. I am going by Joy Goodwin’s link on roots web.com to Millie Bray Pummill and 1870 census in Vandalia, Fayette Co., IL with a Millia Miller and daughter Emmaly, age 15. Our family tradition has always said that Emma Miller was born in Vandalia and that she married Willis M. Wright as her second husband and had Luther Wright.]

Jessie and Emma Bray's children were:
      1. Moses Clifton "Cliff" Bray b. 1875 Fayette Co., IL married Lula Bell Hopkins b. 20 May 1882 Howell Co., MO on 24 Sept. 1899 in Howell Co., MO. They moved to Indian Territory where Lula Bell died in 1905, then to Dallas, TX. His children were:

Moses Clifton Bray 1880 census Vandalia, Fayette Co., IL 1900 census Spring Creek Twp., Howell Co., MO with wife Lula 1930 census Dallas, TX with daughter Irene in household of son-in-law Roscoe Pettis. Irene & Roscoe's children are: Corvelle b. 1923 TX; Howard b. 1926 TX, Kenneth b. 1928 TX. (The 1930 census lists Moses C. as born in KY and age would make him b. 1877, but I think this is really our Moses Clifton Bray. Irene is listed as born in OK (was Indian Terr.?) and her mother is listed as b. MO, which is correct.)
